Amazon’s newest original series, premiering on July 28, is The Last Tycoon — based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s great final work, an unfinished epic of 1930s Hollywood inspired by the life of legendary movie mogul Irving Thalberg.
Golden Globe winner Matt Bomer (The Normal Heart) plays studio golden boy Monroe Stahr, who’s locked in conflict with his father figure and boss, Pat Brady (Kelsey Grammer). Hear about the making of this long-awaited adaptation from cast members Bomer, Grammer, Lily Collins and Dominique McElligott, and executive producers Christopher Keyser and Billy Ray. How did they bring Fitzgerald’s sweeping vision to the screen?
Moderated by film and TV critic Caryn James.
