It is no secret that American politics have become increasingly polarized. Our political “spectrum” has begun to look like a tug-of-war between not just two distinct political parties, but clashing, irreconcilable worldviews. With creeping extremism, “alternative facts,” “fake news,” and internet echo chambers, it seems that the days of putting our differences aside and coming to a compromise are over. One solution might be, “Why not start a third party?”
On Tuesday, October 25 at 7 pm ET, FOLCS will return to The 92nd Street Y, New York with a politician who has done just that. Andrew Yang, former presidential candidate and leader of the newly formed Forward Party, will join Thane Rosenbaum for an intimate conversation on navigating America’s deep partisanship.
