The talk will be about Hun Chung Lee’s life journey which has led him to explore craft, fine art, and design, resulting in a diverse body of work that includes sculpture, art furniture, pottery, and installation.
His approach to ceramics involves a deep engagement with his materials and process, especially given the unpredictable nature of glazes. The true beauty of Lee’s practice lies in the balance he achieves in each piece and the conversations he fosters between different works.
“For me, a journey is to return. A journey is not wandering. It should have a place to which I am to return. I love to use the word “journey” to express my work and my life.”
