Bob Woodruff has covered major stories for ABC News since 1996 and was named co-anchor of World News Tonight in December 2005. In January 2006, while reporting in Iraq, he was seriously injured by a roadside bomb. He sits down with James F. Hoge of Foreign Affairs magazine to discuss the role of the war correspondent and reflect on America's role in the world. Woodruff and his wife, Lee co-wrote a memoir, In an Instant, chronicling his recovery and how their family persevered. In this clip, he talks about the painful process.
