Cathie Black, president of Hearst Magazines, made publishing history in 1979 when she became the first woman publisher of a weekly consumer magazine, New York. In 1983 she guided the successful launch of USA Today where she was president of the newspaper, then publisher. She joined Page Six’s Liz Smith to discuss her book, BASIC BLACK: The Essential Guide for Getting Ahead at Work (and in Life). In this clip, she discusses her “wildest moment” in her publishing career and answers the question, “can women have it all?”
