Clinical psychologist Dr. Lonnie Barbach gives a lecture about erotica. This lecture is part of the Ruth and Oliver Stanton About Women series. Dr. Barbach discusses her own career path and erotica works, including The Erotic Edge (1994), a compilation of erotic stories written by both men and women. She shares passages from The Erotic Edge in her lecture. Dr. Barbach goes on to discuss her film consultancy work for what she calls “visual erotica” projects that focus on the female perspective. She shares clips from these films, which she worked on with director Deborah Shames, including Cabin Fever (1993) and The Hottest Bid (1995). The lecture is followed with questions from the audience.
