Dr. Valerie Steele, a fashion historian and editor of the book Men and Women: Dressing the Part (1989), discusses the different clothing styles worn by men and women in the workforce and examines how these styles are affected by societal interpretations of gender stereotypes. She also explores the history and evolution of workplace uniforms, including those worn by police, factory workers, businesspersons, doctors, and nurses. The talk concludes with audience questions.
