Fertility Panel: Mastering and Maximizing IVF and Rising Above the Stigma
Brittney Sobel, Dr. Arielle Bayer, and Elizabeth Baron in Conversation with Katie Sands Bochner
May 07, 2025
The 92NY Lipschultz Parenting Center is launching a comprehensive Fertility Series, designed to foster connection, education, and support for individuals and families navigating their reproductive journeys. The first panel event features Brittney Sobel, surrogacy attorney and founder & CEO of It Is Sloane, who has dedicated her career to making reproductive healthcare more accessible and affordable. Brittney discusses the stigma surrounding her own surrogacy journey to conceive her daughter — who is now a student at 92NY nursery school. Guiding the discussion is Dr. Arielle Bayer, a leading reproductive endocrinologist at CCRM, who provides expert insights into the IVF process. She breaks down the essential steps of fertility preservation, discusses the latest innovations in reproductive medicine, and sheds light on the often-overlooked preparatory measures that can maximize the success of an egg retrieval — whether for immediate IVF treatment or future surrogacy options. Rounding out the stage, Elizabeth Baron, a licensed psychotherapist with a primary focus on maternal mental health. Her goal is to engage and empower new, expecting, and seasoned moms to tackle the complex emotions and identity shifts that often come with motherhood. Katie Sands Bochner, beloved TV host and digital creator behind @itskatiesands, brings her signature warmth and insight as she moderates the panel, drawing from her own IVF journey and new role as a mom.
