Stephen Cohen, associate professor of social psychology at the City University of New York, moderates a conversation with Fred Gottheil, professor of economics at the University of Illinois, and Leonard Fine, editor-in-chief of Moment Magazine about the relationship between Israel and the American Jewish community. This event was organized in partnership with the Radius Institute and the National Jewish Resource Center, with additional help from William and Pearl Hack, and the Frank M. Morgenstern Foundation. Gottheil argues that the “marriage” between Israel and American Jews “is workable and is working.” Fine argues that in order for the relationship to be healthy, it “must allow for dissent” from both sides. The discussion is followed by questions from the audience.
