In walks Company, as Tony Award winner Katrina Lenk and two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone take our stage! The stars of the show’s hit Broadway revival join us for a conversation following an advance screening of the upcoming documentary from Great Performances on THIRTEEN, Keeping Company with Sondheim. A musical comedy masterpiece about the search for love and connection in New York City, Company is turned on its head in two-time Tony Award winner Marianne Elliott’s visionary, gender-swapped new production. The Great Performances documentary, which features interviews with Sondheim, never-before-seen rehearsal footage and more, takes an inside look at the creative process of bringing this reimagined production to Broadway after its critically acclaimed London run. Following the screening, Lenk and LuPone talk with Why We Theater’s Ruthie Fierberg about how the show is transformed by the Bobby/Bobbie switch, stories of working with Sondheim, Company’s enduring resonance, and more.
