Kol Oud Tof Trio: "De veinticinco escalones"

Excerpts from the Kol Oud Tof Trio's new program at the 92nd Street Y: "De veinticinco escalones" - This second program by the Kol Oud Tof Trio is dedicated to the Haketia* tradition; it is a personal personal reflection of wedding songs, mostly presented from the view of the bride and other women. With the Haketia materials are wedding songs from Morocco and the Balkan sang in Hebrew, Arabic and Ladino.

* Haketia - a dialect spoken by the Jews of Tanger & Tetuan, it is described as "A mixture of Castillian, Arabic and Hebrew".
