Michael Bierut with Fern Mallis

Jan 13, 2016

Michael Bierut is a world-renowned graphic designer, protégé of design legend Massimo Vignelli and partner in the New York office of the international design firm Pentagram.

Bierut shares design practice and creative process in his first monograph: How to use graphic design to sell things, explain things, make things look better, make people laugh, make people cry, and (every once in a while) change the world. Michael Bierut is the man behind so much of the design we see every day in our city. As so many designs you encounter on a daily basis are created by such graphic designers — Michael will discuss what defines great design.
