Author, lecturer, and philosopher Dr. Eugene Borowitz discusses how modern people think about God. At the time of recording, Dr. Borowitz served as the Director of Education for the Commission on Jewish Education at the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and Central Conference of American Rabbis. In this lecture, Dr. Borowitz discusses two perspectives on the modern perception of God. The first, from Mordecai Kaplan, argues that modern people need to understand God in a modern context. The second, from Martin Buber, argues that modern people mistakenly try to understand God scientifically. The lecture is followed with questions from the audience.
