May 08, 2019

Pico Iyer reads from Autumn Light, a meditation on impermanence, mortality, and grief that draws on his years of living in Japan. Peter Hessler, New Yorker China and Cairo correspondent, makes his Poetry Center debut with The Buried, an account of life in Egypt at the time of the Arab Spring. Readings followed by a Q&A. They are introduced by Nick Paumgarten and Bernard Schwartz.
