Rachel Kushner and Tommy Orange read from their work

Rachel Kushner reads from The Mars Room, a tense novel of a woman beginning two consecutive life sentences, for which she was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize, and Tommy Orange reads from his debut novel, There There, which follows twelve Native American characters as they converge and collide in Oakland on one fateful day. Introductions by Deborah Treisman, fiction editor ofThe New Yorker.
