Harvard Kennedy School's Robert Stavins spoke to us about the link between economics and the environment. Stavins points at local air and water pollution along with global climate change as environmental problems that impact our economy. He also talks about the Cap-and-trade system that got the lead out of U.S. gasoline as well as cutting acid rain by 50 percent. On climate change, Stavins says U.S. domestic action is necessary for an international agreement.
92nd Street Y’s Campaign for the American Conversation offers you insight and analysis from the best minds at the Harvard Kennedy School. HKS is collaborating with us on American Conversation Essentials – videos that explain the issues at play during this campaign year.
