Radio personality Leonard Lopate moderates a discussion about women in the art world with Agnes Gund, philanthropist and patron of the arts, Roberta Smith, art critic for The New York Times, and Elizabeth Murray, painter and printmaker. Gund, Smith, and Murray share their personal experiences working in the art world and shed light on issues women face in the industry, such as sexism, gallery representation, pay disparity, and a lack of leadership opportunities. They also discuss feminist art history and explore the differing levels of fame experienced by male and female artists, referencing well-known artist couples like Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner as examples.
