Make a mini quilt!
In this class, students will create 4 different quilt blocks including: Checkerboard, Log Cabin, Half Square Triangle, and Quarter Circle. During the last two classes, the four quilt blocks will be joined together to create a quilt top. The quilt top will be layered with batting and a backing fabric to create a “quilt sandwich”. Binding will be sewn around the edge, resulting in a finished mini quilt, measuring approximately 24” x 24”. While making the quilt, this class will cover essential quilt making techniques including using a rotary cutter, pressing seams, quilting stitches, sewing with a walking foot, and quilt math. Basic sewing knowledge required. Students can expect a bit of homework.
