As a program component of the 92NY May Center for Health, Fitness and Sport for over 10 years, the GymStars Gymnastics Team provides a supportive and safe environment for girls to develop a positive gymnastics experience, reap the rewards of hard work and dedication and gain a sense of sportsmanship and team spirit.
On the GymStars Gymnastics Team, we strive to be more focused, disciplined and committed to improving ourselves both as athletes and as individuals. The coaching staff at 92NY wishes each gymnast good luck in the sport and hopes each gymnast enjoys their journey.

Gymnasts concentrate on skill development, form and technique as they are introduced to USA Gymnastics routines. Participation requires a commitment of four to six hours of practice per week. Talented girls can develop advanced skills in all Olympic events. Junior Olympic Gymnastics follows USA-Gymnastics curriculum and levels and is ultimately the USA Gymnastics training program for national and international level competition. A minimum of nine hours of practice per week is required. Weekend practices are available and encouraged. The team participates in local, regional and national meets. Campers of all levels receive instruction in gymnastics, swimming, aerial silks, dance, art, recreational sports and creative movement. This camp is appropriate for beginner athletes up to competitive gymnasts, as all campers are placed in age and skill-appropriate groups. One day each week is devoted to a fun-filled educational or recreational trip within the greater New York area. All gymnastics coaches are USA Gymnastics Safety-certified and all lifeguards and swim instructors are Red Cross-certified. For interviews, tours or more information, call 212.415.5717 or email. Our 92NY GymStars & Blue Thunder Competitive Teams are committed and dedicated to the sport of gymnastics. Our Pre-Team is for girls and boys preparing for the competitive team preparing skills to move up to level 2 as they participate in team activities.
We compete in USAG sanctioned meets (Junior Olympic and Xcel) Levels 2+. Levels 2–5 compete and practice the USAG compulsorily skills preparing for USAG optional levels 6–10.
