Bonny Light Horseman

Overview

Folk supergroup Bonny Light Horseman – Hadestown creator Anaïs Mitchell, Eric D. Johnson (Fruit Bats), and multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman – makes what NPR called “new folk music inspired by the spirit of old folk.”

Their captivating sound weaves together the traditional and the new, with elements of Americana, indie rock, music of the British Isles, and more, delivered through gorgeous harmonies, spare instrumentation, and tender, lyrical storytelling. Hear them in songs from their latest album, Keep Me On Your Mind/See You Free – what the artists call “an ode to the blessed mess of our humanity” – and music from their rich songbook of originals and traditionals in an evening of music-making in its purest form.
