Overview

The 92NY Future Dance Festival is an annual curated festival rooted in a mission to invest in our collective future of dance through uplifting and supporting emerging artists. The Festival connects the next generation of choreographers and dance filmmakers with the current generation of directors and industry leaders.

92NY Future Dance Festival 2025 will feature the work of 16 emerging choreographers in two in-person live performances at 92NY’s Buttenwieser Hall, and 8 emerging dance filmmakers in an online program.

Online Dance Film Festival: On sale from Thursday, April 10 - Thursday, April 17. Online performance is available to view through Sunday, April 20.

Since the Festival’s launch in 2020, over 40 diverse choreographers from 6 continents have been selected to share their work. Each of these choreographers received access to a network of company directors and industry luminaries who are equally as invested in the future of dance as we are at 92NY. Participation in the festival has resulted in choreographic opportunities such as commissions, grants, and residencies.
