Residence Application

Please read carefully

1. Once the $250 administrative fee is received and providing you meet our eligibility requirements, and we can accommodate your request for housing, we will send you a Room Reservation Agreement. The $250 administrative fee is not applicable to rent. If you do not meet our eligibility and/or we have no availability for you, we will refund your administrative fee.
2. All accepted residents are required to attend an orientation soon after moving in.
3. Residence is limited to students/interns and/or fully employed people..
4. Minimum residence is one month. Maximum stay is one year.
5. Your residence is limited to the dates you indicated above. To extend your stay, a two-week written notice is required, and approval is subject to availability. If you decide to move out prior to your departure date indicated above, we require a one-month written notice.
6. Rent is always due in advance on the 1st of every month.
7. Based upon the information obtained by 92NY Residence Department, the Residence Department Admissions Committee shall in its discretion determine whether the applicant will be able to benefit from the experiences of dormitory/group living at 92NY, and will not be detrimental to him/herself and/or other 92NY residents. Meeting these standards is a prerequisite to admission to the 92NY Residence. In applying these standards, the Admissions Committee shall consider the relevant factors, including but not limited to the safety, morals and comfort of 92NY residents, as well as the purposes of the 92NY Residence Department.
8. Termination of residence may be given at the discretion of 92NY for any breach of the rules and regulations as in effect from time to time. The determination of such breach shall be made at the sole and absolute discretion of 92nd Street Y.
